"This year I gave a prophecy concerning the entertainment industry that there is going to be series of death, and they never asked me for a solution. One problem is that they like to go to churches where they do paparazzi and the rest. They don't want to come to the truth and that is why they are dying this way. If they come to me, I will tell them the mystery why people are dying in Nollywood just like I've been able to tell Nigerians why electricity can't be stable in Nigeria. I know why they are dying. Let them come to me"

A 25-year-old bricklayer, Akinloye Anuoluwapo, has been arrested by the police for slaughtering his 21-year-old girlfriend, Rafiyat Akinyemi. Anuoluwapo slit Akinyemi’s throat at her family home in Magbon, Ogijo, Ogun state. PUNCH Metro gathered that Anuoluwapo allegedly murdered Akinyemi for her refusal to continue dating him.

A 4-months pregnant bride identified as Akinjolie Idowu Wuraola has died in Ogun state after she fell inside soakaway pit just two weeks before her wedding. The deceased woman fell into the soakaway pit at her residence at 2, Believer Street, Oluwo Opeilu, Ikija in Ogun state, southwest Nigeria. 

Wuraola, a native of Ile Oluji Ondo State, was said to have washed some of her clothes on Friday morning and was about to hang them on the rope when she stepped on top of the soakaway pit covered with mud slab and the slab gave way and she fell inside the soakaway pit.

Post Wedding Saga - Nollywood Actor Solomon Akiyesi Tells His Own Story

On Saturday, April 13, Nigerians were shocked when the supposed wedding of Nollywood actor, Mr. Solomon Akiyesi, to Ms Uloma Agwu, turned into a major scandal in Lagos.

The ‘wedding’, which was taking place at the Overcomer’s World Outreach in Aguda, Surulere, was truncated when Solomon’s authentic wife, Lillian, stormed the church with some family members, creating a scene and accusing the groom-to-be of abandoning her at home in Port Harcourt while he was busy, plotting an illegal wedding in Lagos.

It took the intervention of policemen to restore sanity. The wedding was eventually cancelled by the General Overseer of the Overcomers Church World Outreach, Bishop N.E. Moses.

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested the Baale (Village Chief), Isoko Community, Abijo, Ibeju-Lekki area of Lagos State, Chief Johnson Avah, for allegedly torturing a boat operator to death. PUNCH Metro learnt that trouble started after the deceased, Samuel Benapumo, took aloan of N100, 000 from the Baale and could not pay back at the agreed time. 

According to police authorities, Avah, 58, was a loan shark and had demanded 20 per cent interest on the N100,000 loan. A police officer at Elemoro Division, who craved anonymity, said, “According to residents of the community, the Baale loans people money at high interest rates. He had loaned the deceased N100, 000 and he (Benapumo) was supposed to pay back N120, 000.

Nollywood Actor Odunlade Adekola Beat And Detained Students In Ogun State Because Of Generator Noise

Nigeriafilms.com has exclusively gathered from good authorities that Yoruba 'thuggery' actor and Glo brand ambassador, Odunlade Adekola, as he acted in 'Sunday Dagboru', recently threw caution into the air when he and his thugs allegedly beat up and eventually detained some students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, Ogun State. 

We scooped that the incident, which happened on Sunday, April 21, 2013, at about 8pm, around Adigbe area of the city, psychologically destroyed the affected students who were before then preparing for their exams on Monday. 

Investigation by Nigeriafilms.com indicates that not only four students were mercilessly beaten by the popular actor, a civil defence officer was also pounced on by Odun and his thugs who he ordered to ruthlessly deal with. He also ordered the beating of the students for daring to talk when he was talking.

25 Year Old DJ Shot Dead In Surulere Lagos

The residents of Bank Olemoh Street, Surulere, Lagos, were terrified on Monday when two gunmen shot dead Olamide George, a 25-year-old deejay. 

According to eyewitnesses, the assassination was carried out at about 2pm while George was with friends under a tree, popularly known as Abe Igi.

It was learnt that just before his murder, George reportedly answered a phone call, and the caller requested to know where he was. George answered that he was at Abe Igi.

NE learnt that the Chidike on April 19, 2013, took a kitchen knife and stabbed himself repeatedly until his intestines were disembowelled.
